I understand that most of the amendments are necessary to comply with WS RRS and ERS definitions or to fix small bugs or misprinting in the text. The telltales rule is also necessary to allow their use. All these rules do not significantly change the amended rules and improve or better specify the old rules. But I do not understand the urgency to apply the "shroud adjusters" rule beginning July 1st. We all know that many are cheating, adjusting the shrouds length while sailing, but giving 10 days to the 90% of the sailors to change their boats, purchasing new shrouds and adjusters and changing the boat settings is not a good choice. In additions, what are the allowed adjuster? The rule is vague giving room to different interpretations. 470 and 420 class rules specify the permitted adjusters. I believe that it would have been much better to delay the application of this rule to January 1st specifying what's allowed and what's not allowed.
