The Snipe Class International Racing Association (SCIRA) has officially published the bids submitted for the major regattas of the 2027 and 2028 seasons. For all events where no official bids were received by the initial deadline, the Board has extended the submission terms—in many cases until October 31st, 2026.

Below is the complete list of the submitted bids for the 2027 and 2028 cycles, categorized by event:

World Championship (Hub Isaacs Trophy)

  • 2028: Italy, Monfalcone YC – September 1–16, 2028

Women World Championship (Roy Yamaguchi Memorial Trophy)

  • 2027: Italy, Triestina Della Vela – July 6–11 or September 14–19, 2027
  • 2027: Spain, RCN Gran Canaria – August 10–14 or August 17–21, 2027

Master World Championship (Id Crook Memorial Trophy)

  • 2027: Italy, Triestina Della Vela – November or October, 2027
  • 2027: Spain, RCN Gran Canaria – August, 2027

European Championship

  • 2027: Norway, Tongsberg Sailing Club – July 31 – August 7, 2027
  • 2027: Italy, Club Nautico Rimini – May 10–16 or September 13–19, 2027

Junior European Championship

  • 2027: Norway, Tongsberg Sailing Club – July 29 – August 1, 2027
  • 2027: Portugal, Club de Vela Atlantico – September 23–26, July 29 – August 1, or May 6–9, 2027

Master European Championship

  • 2028: Italy, Lake Caldonazzo – June 9–11, 2028

Western Hemisphere & Asia Championship

  • 2027: Brazil, Clube dos Jangadeiros – October 11–17, 2027

South American Championship

  • 2027: Uruguay, Yacht Club Uruguayo – March 24–27, 2027

South European Championship (Sergio Michel Trophy)

  • 2027: Italy, Yacht Club Sanremo – March 27–28 or April 10–11, 2027

Voting Process

The valid bids received will now be analyzed and voted on. According to the specific regulations outlined in their respective Deeds of Gift, the voting authority will fall either on the International Board of Governors or on the National Secretaries of the continent of competence.
