In a female championship, the morning of the last day of racing, when I was preparing the snipe i realised all the tension of the mast was totally changed...misterious! - 4) What is the thing that most angers you in a race/regatta? When the race is postponed and we have to wait hours until go out and sailing. It gets me very very nervous.

– 1) Your first time on a sailing boat?

When I was 10 years old in Cadet.

– 2) Your first time on a Snipe?

In the summer of 2000 in Gijón with Juan Merediz.

When the race is postponed and we have to wait hours until go out and sailing. It gets me very very nervous.

– 5) Which is the race/regatta that you remember with the most pleasure?

For sure, the Olympics. The final day was epic, we sailed in our best performance in extreme conditions for match racing. We worked for that day the last years, and we did it perfect!!

– 6) And the race/regatta you would like to forget?

None of them, in each race i learnt something, good or bad. But in the Worlds in 2011 in Perth, Australia, was a little frustrating, we were the first country not qualifier in the Olympics, we had to go to the second chance.

– 7) Your “dream in the peak”? (Your sailing dream?)Angela3

I have the Gold medal, it was my dream!!! So now,  teach young children what I’ve learned over the years.

– 8) Sailing goals for 2013, and beyond?

Start a new Olympic campaing in a new class.

– 9) The most important people for you in sailing and in the Snipe?

Lot of people in this 12 years sailing in Snipe. But the most importants are my skippers : Fran Palacio, we sailed lot of time when were juniors and Félix Gancedo, one of the best sailors in history.

– 10) Why the Snipe?

I love the Snipe Class, easy words to describe why……”Serious sailing, serious fun”!!!! Missed a lot the Class during my Olympic campaing.

– 11) Your perfect sailing venue and your perfect sailing conditions?

Sunny day and lights conditions…..like Miami!!!

– 12) Besides sailing which other sport do you practice?

Surfing and Snowboarding.

Angela4– 13) Are you superstitious?

Not very much, but when I training and competing I like to follow routines and don´t leave anything to chance

– 14) Your perfect holiday?

Sun, crystalline sea, a white sandy beach and my boyfriend! 🙂
