Colombian Nationals

Lake Tomine, January 24-26, 2014. Results, photos and regatta report by Esteban Echavarria

Two weeks ago, the weekend after the clinic in Colombia, has been held the Colombian Nationals with 25 boats.

The regatta was marked by shifty wind conditions in Tomine Lake, and it was Dany Delgado and his brother Javier the ones that in the end won the nationals for second year in a row. On second place was Esteban Echavarria who was sailing with a new crew his coach Pablo Sanguinetti for first time, they began with bad results but started to recover in the last regattas to take second place 3 point behind, on third place was Luis Soubie with his wife Ana, he did an amazing championship winning 2 out of 6 regattas,and sailing in the leading group in almost each regatta but shifty unfair conditions affected him in two races taking him to third place overall.
