D6/Women’s & US WH&O Qualifier – Day 2
San Diego, February 8, 2014. Report by Danielle Richards With the completion of the fifth race of the Snipe District Championship/Western Hemisphere Qualifier Regatta at the San Diego YC, SDYC's Rick Arneson, sailing with Diana Waterbury slipped by Mission Bay's Doug Hart and Ryan Hopps to take a one point lead in the three day event with one day's sailing remaining. SDYC's Randy Lake and Kate Shehan slipped to 3rd, followed by Ft. Lauderdale sailors Peter and Sheehan Commette and Chuck Sinks and Briana Provancha from SDYC. The day's racing in Coronado Roads featured nowthwest winds of between 8 and 10 knots building late in the day to 12 knots. ... full results ...
