Boat Restoration – Earl Elms 1966 Snipe Image

This was built in 1966 by Earl Elms and finished off by Tom Nute, sister boat to Elms’ 1966 Snipe US Nationals winner “White Trash” – the last wooden Snipe to win the Nationals. Tom Nute campaigned this boat in southern California while he was working for North Sails. Some might remember this boat, these two Snipes were the prototypes of all the Chubasco Snipes that followed.
