George Szabo – Snipe Sailor

George Szabo sails Snipes because the Class knows how to have fun both on and off the water. As an international Class it attracts some of the best small boat sailors both in the US and from around the world. An integral component is the fun that comes from the family atmosphere of the regattas – the parties are legendary.

George came to the 2009 Snipe Worlds in San Diego fresh from his victory in the Star Worlds. He tells us what it takes to win a World Championship.

He also talks about how the Snipe is a boat that can be sailed by big sailors, and not so big sailors and how a loft like Quantum helps make that possible. He also shares his excitement about crewing for 10 year old Cameron Biehl in the unique US Jr./Sr. Championship a few years ago.
