The GASPAR has sometimes been sailed in cold winter weather, but not this year. Temperatures were like summer, and the winds were light, and the competition was tough. The proportion of women and young sailors continues to grow in the Florida area. There were 5 women skippers, and 4 all female crews. Veterans Peter Commette and Bruno Mello showed the best light air speed, but racing was close with lots of position changes in the fleet on every leg.
