From the Commodore – Junior Promotion
by Martin Bermúdez de la Puente
Dear National Secretaries,
First, I would like to thank you for the excellent leadership, support, and work you carry out for the Snipe Class in your respective countries.
As you may recall from my letter of December 2025, one of the goals and challenges of this Board is to promote and grow the Snipe Junior category, among the many other initiatives we have planned.
After extensive study and discussion within the Board, we are now in a position to inform you of the Financial Assistance that SCIRA will implement for the upcoming 2026 Junior World Championship, as outlined in the attachment to this letter.
We are fully aware of the collective effort required to bring the Snipe Class to strong participation numbers and continued promotion, always keeping in mind that the future of the Class depends on us. The project we are launching today is not a short-term initiative, and although results may take time to materialize, I kindly ask for your patience. The impact of this initiative will become visible in the medium to long term, and we are fully convinced that it will come.
As always, I remain at your disposal for any questions or suggestions you may have.
In the meantime, see you on the water.
All the best,
Martin Bermúdez de la Puente
