Rule Change Proposal: 24-24 Class Rules Daggerboard
According to the Decision Making Process,
- Rules changes can be submitted up to 1st March.
- All proposals will be published on the website.
- The period from March to June will be used for public discussion and also for the Rules Committee recommendations.
- The Board will vote all submission on July.
- The approved changes will be sent to World Sailing (August) for final approval (November).

I agree with Cesar. In addition, I beleive that the centerboard band should be painted.

The tape used in most masts and booms is quite reliable. If limits marks according to C.9.2 can be taped, why not the daggerboard? Tesa 4204 or equivalent seems a suitable option, but this kind of tape is only suggested. The full extension of the band is not so important. The height if the board can be easily checked with a shorter band (minimum 30cm to make the band measurement easier). But, the proponent seems to be missing. Should this proposal be accepted?

Antonio: Efectivamente no es necesario pintar la banda de la orza en toda su anchura para ver si su parte delantera queda ala altura de la cubierta pero pregunto: ¿Por qué algunos la pintan solo de 35 cm?

Creo que quien lo hace así no es para "ahorrar tiempo o pintura" lamentablemente es para que sea menos visible cuando navega con la orza más alta de lo permitido

Pepe, the length of the band is established in the rule. This is the minimum length, chosen to allow a faster measurement of the band position.
