Rule Change Proposal: 24-23 Class Rules D1.5 side panels

According to the Decision Making Process,
- Rules changes can be submitted up to 1st March.
- All proposals will be published on the website.
- The period from March to June will be used for public discussion and also for the Rules Committee recommendations.
- The Board will vote all submission on July.
- The approved changes will be sent to World Sailing (August) for final approval (November).

Antonio Bari
Several boats have been delivered in the past with carbon “side panels”. This proposal limits the panels area and the way they can be secured and used. This is a good proposal to fix the problem. Maybe it would be of a great help to specify what a “side panel” is. This term is not included in the ERS and I suppose WS would require a complete explanation.

Lo de paneles laterales es un problema de traducción, lo que se propone es un protector que cubre parte de las poleas, mordazas y carros de las escotas del foque, para evitar que la tripulación se dañe al sentarse sobre ellas en la banda
