While I concur that re-measuring a sail during an event, especially if it has already been certified by an accredited measurer or possesses an in-house certification, is unnecessary, I harbor reservations about approving this proposal making an initial certification mandatory for any race. I am afraid that not our sailmakers and fleets are ready to this new rule.

Appropriate amendment. This proposal specifies that the sail shall be certified by a measurer with a stamp or a signature and that event stamps are not a sail certification. Also allows WS In House Certification which is a great improvement and saves time at the events.
