– 8) Sailing goals for 2014, and beyond?

This year we have a very busy agenda (thanks to Ecuadorian Government that is supporting us in every single aspect).
We have goals on ODESUR (Valparaiso, Chile), South American Cup ( Porto Alegre, Brasil), South American Beach Games ( Puerto Azul, Venezuela), European Cup (Poland), Western Hemispheres (San Diego, CA, USA). But our main goal is make it to Panam Games, and have the honor to represent Ecuador in the best way.

– 9) The most important people for you in sailing and in the Snipe?

In sailing general what Robert Scheidt have made and what just did earlier this year, winning the Lasers World Cup at 40 years old is IMPRESSIVE. On Snipe, I have a great admiration on the Florida fleet where I started.Watch Gonzalo “Old man” Diaz sailing Snipes amazed me, his multi champion son Augie with all the hard work with the kids. Sailing in Miami I had the privilege to race/ training with Ernesto Rodriguez, Brian Kamilar / Kike Quintero, Peter Commette, etc.

I also admire Luis Soubie/Diego “Mini me” Lipsic (ARG), Pablo Defazio (URU), and I won’t forget about the best snipe fleet of the world in Brasil as Amiguinho, Bruno Bethlem, Xandhi, etc.

Is not only how tactical, physical, or the beauty of the boat, it is the people that sails on it, I truly felt in love of how friendly people are all over the world but also competitive.

I do martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (faixa roxa)

I’m really not, but If had a good sailing day, for sure I’m gonna use the same sailing outfit, underwear, and eat the same meal that the last day. LOL

– 14) Your perfect holiday?

Thanksgiving, even that in Ecuador we don’t celebrate it, I like the meaning of it.
