A Facebook group from a Belgian idea

Snipe sailing is all about serious sailing and serious fun. At certain times an inconvenient truth 🙂 SnipeToday has established a wonderful fundament in the Snipe class. It truely has become an icon to all of us Internet adepts. -Kudos to Pietro and all the editors- In Santiago de la Ribera (december 2014) the idea rambled to complete this amazing story (and the Snipe moto) by launching a platform that supports the serious fun aspect, a platform that balances SnipeToday in the night times.

Et voilà: SnipeTonight – a site for All Sneaky Snipers.

Recently the closed Facebook group SnipeTonight has been launched.

Key features will be: announcing social activities, arranging dinners/BBQ’s/poolparties, sharing interesting locations like restaurants, bars, etc. at international regattas (but also, and not to forget blackmailing people). In other (sailing) words, a social Notice board 😉
In addition to the blackmailing activities a few guidelines are written below.

To get the party started we would like to claim the first SnipeToningt activity. Fellow Sniper Wim Saeys and me will be celebrating our 62th anniversary together on the 11th and 12th of March. During the weekend of March 14 and 15 will be sailing the Antwerp Snipe Cup (a trial for the 2015 Worlds). After dinner on Saturday we will ring the bell – free drinks for everyone.

When getting involved in SnipeTonight please keep the following lines in mind:

1. Keep it cool, have fun and connect.
2. Use common sense: add value in social conversations.
3. Remember that (i) we are all relatives within the Snipe class, bur more importantly also outside the class (wife/husband, father/mother, sun/daughter, …); (ii) Some us still might have a active professional career as employer or employee: Share messages that also can be shared with people from outside the Snipe community.
