Fleet 801 in St. Petersburg hosted the GASPAR Regatta Jan. 10-11.
The weather was slightly cool (highs in the 60’s F) with winds of 8 to 15 most of the weekend.
Peter Commette showed great speed to win the racing with crew Hillary Noble.

Don Hackbarth answered the most Pirate Riddles posted around the sailing center to win a bag of gold.
There were 4 all women crews and a number of college students and recent college graduates from the University of South Florida sailing team.
Participants came from all over the US including Florida, Alabama, and New Hampshire. One sailor was from Columbia, (SA). There are more pictures on Facebook at the Fleet 801 group page.
