Colombian Nationals

Calima Lake, Colombia, November 17, 2023. The Colombian National Games, colloquially known as “Juegos Nacionales,” unfolded against the spectacular backdrop of Calima Lake, a setting renowned for its breathtaking beauty and unique sailing conditions. This quadrennial multi-sport event, held every four years in Colombia, brought together athletes from diverse regions, creating a vibrant tapestry of competition in an array of sports disciplines.

They bring together athletes from different regions of the country to compete in a wide range of sports disciplines. In the sailing category, one of the classes is the Snipe class. During the Games, held at Calima Lake, six Snipe crews from five regions (Antioquia, Bogota, Bolivar, Valle, and the Colombian Navy) participated in eight regattas. The wind conditions varied between 5 and 30 knots. The final podium for the Snipe class was as follows:

1. GOLD MEDAL Esteban Echavarría & Juan Esteban Restrepo
2. SILVER MEDAL Julian Ramirez & Adriana Rodriguez
3. BRONZE MEDAL Felipe Castillo & James Medina.
