Regatta Logistics & Area Information - Notice of Race Buffalo, July 19-26, 2013 The 2013 US Snipe Nationals are being held at the Buffalo Canoe Club on beautiful Abino Bay in Ontario, Canada, just across the border from Buffalo, New York. The Buffalo Canoe Club was the host of the 2013 Western Hemisphere Championship, as well as other major regattas such as the Laser Radial, Lightning, Sunfish, & Flying Dutchman World Championships. This is the second year that the US Nationals are open to competitors from all nations. Last year, teams attended the US Nationals from Italy, Brazil, Ecuador, Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Canada. SCIRA USA would like to extend a special invitation to international Junior Teams to attend a pre-regatta clinic and Jr. Nationals. Housing and free charter boats will be provided to junior teams from Europe, South America, and Japan. ...

In addition to great weather, sand beach, and warm water there will be a trip for all regatta participants to Niagara Falls, only 25 minutes from the club.
International competitors will need a Canadian Visa and should fly into Toronto’s Pearson International Airport (YYZ)

I have sailed three Lightning North Americans at BCC, two when I was a junior. It was a must sail regatta for the wind was great, the lake was open, and the club facilities were enjoyable. One big beach.....
If you have a Snipe.... you have to sail it.
Someone who sailed snipes and admires the class. Used to own 29842 & 29102....sailed it with my daughters as they grew up.
