This proposal adds an additional complication to the boat, the system to adjust the jib height is not so easy. There isn’t any limit specified for the amount of the possible adjustment (up to the free space from the jib head to the mast pulley?), there is no specification if only the cloth or/and the luff line can be adjusted, which will eventually add additional complication to the rigging and loss of control from a measurement point of view.
True that when downwind a higher jib prevents a possible pole or jib breaking if the pole touches the water.

Hello Antonio!
The system is not complicated at all, it is easy to rig and to manage!
As for the amount of possible adjustment, my opinion is that it should be free. When upwind sailing the jib will be almost the same (touching the deck). When downwind sailing the truth is that when the skipper eases the rake, and the crew eases the jib cunningham (as everybody does), the jib hoists itself automatically, because the luff wire is longer and the jib is not attached to the luff wire anymore - it is attached to the mast! Anyways, the sailors can put the jib higher or lower on the downwind, depending on their preference, but in terms of speed it doesn´t make a big difference! The safety is the main thing!

Aunque creo que lo que suele romperse por falta de pericia o por tomar un riesgo muy alto navegando es el tangón
