Rule Change Proposal 22-04: Deeds of Gift Image

According to the Decision Making Process,

  • Rules changes can be submitted up to 1st March.
  • All proposals will be published on the website.
  • The period from March to June will be used for public discussion and also for the Rules Committee recommendations.
  • The Board will vote all submission on July.
  • The approved changes will be sent to World Sailing (August) for final approval (November).

I don´t see the need for "major circumstances" actions.

Senior World's in even years, as the olympic games, is a bad idea. We should return to pre-covid rotation. No need to change that on DoG.

In DoG I'd change points 4.1 and 4.2 of the Hub Isaacs Trophy DoG not to allow re-allocations (like at the Junior World's, Vieri Lasinio Di Castelvero's DoG )

The subject of this proposal is totally indefinite and indeterminate. Which D.o.G. it concerns? Which part of the D.o.G. should be changed? Which wording should be used? Also, in some cases it is necessary to have the favorable opinion of the donor? I think, such a proposal cannot even be voted on by the Board due to its total indeterminacy. It shall certainly be rewritten and resubmitted for each single D.o.G.
