Rule 42 Guidelines and Sailing Instructions Template
The Technical Committee has published updated Guidelines for Rule 42 (Propulsion) and a new Sailing Instruction Template.

The Technical Committee has published updated Guidelines for Rule 42 (Propulsion) and a new Sailing Instruction Template. These crucial documents provide essential clarity and standardization for race officials and competitors worldwide.
The new Rule 42 Guidelines offer a comprehensive interpretation and application of the fundamental rule concerning propulsion by means other than wind and water. This update aims to provide clearer guidance to judges and sailors on what constitutes a breach of Rule 42, often a complex area of racing.
Regarding the Sailing Instructions Template, the previous template incorrectly referenced Rule 61.5(c), which does not exist within the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). The revised template now correctly cites RRS 61.4(c)
