New Masters Categories for 2013

The Snipe Board of Governors has voted to amend the Deed of Gift for the Id Crook Memorial World Masters Championship.  The minimum age has changed and  an additional category has been added. The Snipe Board of Governors has voted to amend the Deed of Gift for the Id Crook Memorial World Masters Championship.  The minimum age has changed and  an additional category has been added.

This is in response to feedback received from around the world and the change in life expectancy and the aging of the Snipe fleet globally. 

This change will not go into effect until January 2013.  

Master Junior:     From 50 to 60 years old.

Master Senior:     From 61 to 70 years old.

Grand Master:      From 71 to 80 years old.

Master Legend:   From 81 years old onwards.

The combined age still stands at 80 in the boat; skipper must be 50.

This has been updated to the SCIRA website and will be in the next Snipe Bulletin.
