New Allocation approved for World Championship

The Board of Governors has approved a new allocation method for the Snipe World Championship - Hub Isaacs Trophy, to encouarge the maximum 80 boat fleet. This will help local regatta organizers host a larger event as well as increase entries from the hosting region. In addition, the entry allocation on registered boats per nation has changed - see listing below (For a full reading of the approved Deed of Gift, see the attachments below). This new allocation method will be in place for the 2013 Worlds to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this September.

In the event that the total entrants do not meet a total of 80 boats, a new method to allow additional entries is outlined in the Deed of Gift – see attached.

Dates to Know

The Worlds website should be live shortly with the official registration period to be March 23 or as soon as the NOR is published. 

March 23 (or sooner): Initial Registration period begins

June 16: Allocation openings to be posted (one week to end of Initial Registration period)

June 23: End of Initial Registration period, beginning of reallocation process

August 11: Unfilled reallocation entries not registered lose entry, which opens to “first come” basis from received valid entry.

September 23: racing begins
