– 1) Your first time on a sailing boat?

My first time was when I was about 7 years old in a boat bought by my father. I liked sailing and after that first time I started the optimist school.

– 2) Your first time on a Snipe?

It was in the year 2009. I was sailing in Laser and the Snipe class was racing in the same place. I was fascinated by these boats, the following week I decided to buy my first snipe with a friend.

– 3) The most bizarre thing that happened in a regatta?

It was in the San Roque lake in Cordoba, a province of Argentina. We started the race 4 minutes late. All the boats went to the right side of the lake and we decided to go to the left to see if we can reach the boats ahead us. The wind changed its direction 60 grades to the left and increased its speed 30 knots. The other boats could not finish the upwind and we finished the race at the first place smiling about the situation.

– 4) What is the thing that most angers you in a race/regatta?

When I realize that I am doing things in a wrongly and stay stuck rather than solving the situation. Luis told me off saying that I am a stubborn!

– 5) Which is the race/regatta that you remember with the most pleasure?

It was the Don Q in Miami. We won a regatta in the last downwind arriving head to head with Peter Commette and Augie Diaz. We won “filando el foque”, sorry but I dont know how to say that expression in English!!

– 6) And the race/regatta you would like to forget?

I would like to forget the second race in the last World Championship. We could not start the regatta on time because of me. Sorry Luis again!!

– 7) Your “dream in the peak”? (Your sailing dream?)

At this moment my dream is to sail in the next Panam Games in Toronto in the year 2015. We need to qualify this year.

– 8) Sailing goals for 2014, and beyond?

We aim to qualify for the Panam Games this year and we expect to get a medal in the next Odesur games next March in Chile and to make a good Hemisphere championship in San Diego in September and finally to defend the national title we got last year.

– 9) The most important people for you in sailing and in the Snipe?

Luis is most important person, I will be grateful forever for the opportunity he gave me and all the things we shared these years along with the things I could learn from him. He is really a champion!! I also grateful to my friends in the class from Argentina and abroad. We have amazing moments togheter!

– 10) Why the Snipe?

I find that Snipe is an excellent boat to sail. The people in the Snipe is wonderful. We can sail in serious way and enjoying a lot the championship. As it is said. “Serious sail, serious fun”. I love this boat!!!

– 11) Your perfect sailing venue and your perfect sailing conditions?

The perfect conditions for us are light wind and short waves. We feel really confortable with those conditons!

– 12) Besides sailing which other sport do you practice?

At this moment I am focus only on sailing. Same years ago I used to play football as well.

– 13) Are you superstitious?

No! I am not superstitious but I try to sail with the same cap and wear the same shorts which are destroyed!

– 14) Your perfect holiday?

We (my girlfriend and myself) enjoy a lot to be in a island with beautiful beaches in hotel all inclusive. My friends should also be there to make the holidays perfect!
