2026 Snipe Worlds Allocation Entry

Official communication from the SCIRA Office to National Secretaries

National Secretaries,

Attached is the entry quota for the 2026 Worlds and it includes any additional entries as outlined in the Deed of Gift.

Also, according to the DoG, “…each competitor must present credentials signed by the National Secretary from the country he/she represents attesting that he/she is the entrant.”

To make this requirement easier for you to be met, please, send me the list of competitors that will represent your country in the 2026 World Championship and, if you think you will fill your quota, please have a ranked waitlist ready to send me as we will start allocating those in June.

Please ensure that your sailors (both skipper & crew) are current members before they register and that the boat / sail # are also registered for 2026.

The tentative entry timetable will be as follows (Final timetable will be stated in the Notice of Race):

	Registration window
First period of registration	From March 19th 2026 to June 21st 2026
	Closed from June 22nd 2026 to June 28th 2026
Second period of registration	From June 29th 2026 to July 21st 2026
Third period and final registration day	From July 22nd 2026 to September 9th 2026

1. Allocation timetable will be published by February on Worlds website, SCIRA website & via NS (or earlier)
2. Entries will not be accepted without Nat Sec signature/confirmation
3. Countries may reserve entries & fill names before final confirmation
4. Payment must be made at registration
5. Host country held to 18-20 maximum entries
6. Major event results will be referenced when allowing additional allocations
7. Minimum criteria of qualification: top 50% finish at National Championship
