Lake Park, GA, USA, March 17, 2024. The 2024 Georgia State Snipe Championship was held on March 16 & 17, 2024, at the Valdosta Yacht Club in Lake Park, GA. It was hosted by Fleet 580 and the members of the Valdosta Yacht Club.

The 9 boats competed: 4 out-of-towners and 5 locals. Despite predictions two weeks prior of thunderstorms and winds 15- 20 mph, the weather on Saturday was quite warm and sunny with winds in the 1-4 mph range. PRO Pat Lambert did his usual masterful job of redirecting the placement of the marks as the races progressed. Three races were completed with no injuries or spills before the winds completely died.

Sunday morning was also clear, but with winds of 6-7 mph. The two races were longer and able to utilize the larger part of the figure-8 lake. The first race began at 10:00 and the second ended about 11:30. Again, there were no spills or equipment problems.

Race results listed below are based on the 5 results from all races Saturday and Sunday.
