The Belgian champion of the champions 2017 is known. 17 Belgian champions representing 15 sailing classes raced against each other last weekend in the Snipe Class.

17 competitive Snipes with crew, most of them the owner, were voted randomly before each start. 5 races were sailed and the last race was the medal race.

The champion of the champions is the best of the 4 pool races and the medal race that will count double.

And the winner is Corentin Demanet, representing the 470 class, leading Stijn Van Hove, Europe runner and Ben van Cauwenbergh on third place, representing the Dragon Class.

Also the youth sailors Thibaud Dirix, from Cadet, Anders Bultynck from Optimist and Victor Pille from Spirou had their time of their life competing against their idols.

The race was close, hard, and was very serious.

And the ‘after sailing’ the perfect match between the Snipe family and the champions, was seriously funny
