Another chamber of commerce day today for the final two races of the 2015 Midwinter Championship. We sailed out into the Gulf against the current but with a nice westerly already filled that gradually built to 10-12 knots by the end of sailing. The racing was tight at the top just as it has been the entire regatta, and leads were never completely safe until the very end. Augie Diaz/Kathleen Tocke did a great job of managing the risk, never getting too far away from the fleet but still taking advantage of the shifts. After the awards dinner at Clearwater Yacht Club tonight, the fleet heads down to Miami for stage 2 of the Midwinter Circuit, the DonQ Rum Keg Regatta.
