Snipe Pula Open – Final

Pula, June 15-16, 2013. Results and regatta report by Franco Battistin.

The 4th edition of Pula Snipe Open gathered 9 boats on the first start saturday 15th June. 3 boats arrived from Trieste, 3 boats from the region of Rijeka and 3 boats from the hosting club.

The light wind prevented the boats to be at the starting line at noon as intended. The 1st start was given at 15:44 and two races were completed. The second one was shortened.

Saturday evening ended with a nice social event and a cozy dinner on the terasa of Bunarina.

On Sunday, fortunately, the wind pressure of about 6 knots SW were quite enough to complete 3 races. So with 5 races and one discard the fleet did have their fun on the flat water and the sunny and warm two days did the rest to have a good remembarance.

The best three crews had been awarded with cups and a group photo been taken which we enclose herewith as a token of these event.

Our compliment to Ana who helmed for the first time the Snipe, after having been quite a succesfull sailor in the Europe class. We hope to see you again on the Snipe’s helm Ana.

Finally, hope to see you all on the 5th edition of Pula Snipe Open which will be held in June, one week after the „Fiumanka”.
