In 2013 we created a special prize for wooden boats. Although only one wooden boat was at competition, it seems like the “spirit of wood” gave an exclusive blowing for the BRA 27815 boat on their last regatta, leading the competitors to scream a cheerful: ‘Go! It’s wood!!’, as the crew rounded in first position the windward mark.

Following this, on the heels of termites, they ended up in 3rd position. They could win the race. Amazing, but…. As well said by our Fleet Captain, Jameston Crippa: “- To awake great challenges, to honor the greatest conquest: Win the cup, sailing a wooden snipe”.

Who know what the future brings? Maybe we could reunite some old wooden beauties to sail the Cup. Around the world this is already a fever: restore old wooden snipes.

We do not want to compete with modernity, only reunite some nostalgic sailors to show their beauties, tell their stories, and who knows.. give us a surprise, winning?
