Junior World Championship – Day 3
Miami, FL, USA, January 5, 2024
Miami, FL, USA, January 5, 2024.
It was breeze ON for day three of the Snipe Junior World Championship!
With winds averaging 15-16 knots and gusting over 20, sailors were treated to some triangle courses and epic reach legs for race 5 and race 6 of the series.
American brothers Justin and Mitchell Callahan remain on top of the fleet after a banner day, going 1-1 in both races. Second and third place saw a reversal of yesterday, with the Spanish team Carlos Bermudez de Castro Castro and Cesar Herrero Baspino moving to second over Chileans Agustin Segovia and Vicente Larrain. American teams Peter Foley & Henry Tindall and Audrey Foley & Avery Baldwin are sitting just outside the top three – and with the ability to drop their worst score tomorrow after race 7, things could get even closer!
With the completion of race 7 tomorrow, competitors will be able to drop their worst result from the scores. A number of competitors in and around the top 15 have big scores to drop – so standings are sure to shake up.

- USA Justin Callahan / Mitchell Callahan, 21
