Eight Bells for Sybil Lineburger

This year the Fleet 727 holds the XIX Cup Alberto Lineburger.

It is a special year because exactly 60 years ago, in the back of his residence in Porto Alegre, Alberto built Brocoió, registered on January 17, 1956 as BRA 10423, for snipe sailor Waldemar Bier. From then on his life was linked to the Snipe Class. The photo taken September 26, 1955, portrays Alberto, his wife Sybil and her daughter, who on this day was celebrating one year of life.

Sibyl died on March 6, 2015 at the age of 88. She was a special Snipe sailor, Alberto’s lifelong crew.
