Let's Do It Again at the 2026 Newport Regatta

Dear Snipe Class,
I hope this finds you well. My name is Diarmaid, I’m the Regatta Coordinator at Sail Newport, and I’m reaching out personally to invite the Snipe class back to the 2026 Annual Newport Regatta.
You’ve been a consistent part of the Newport Regatta for years, It was fantastic to have 24 boats join us last year, and we’d love to see that kind of turnout again in 2026. Plus, we’re very excited to be hosting the North Americans later in the season. The Newport Regatta will be great practice!
Event Details:
- Dates: July 11-12, 2026 (with optional Friday, July 10 racing for interested classes)
- Check-in: Friday July 10
- Racing: Saturday & Sunday on Narragansett Bay (Friday racing available if your class is interested)
- Saturday Night Social: food, live music, and the sailing community coming together
- Sunday Awards with bar service
What You Can Expect:
- Outstanding race management
- Multiple races each day
- Three or four racing areas across the bay to accommodate all classes
- Cold beer ashore
What We Need From You: To confirm Snipe as a participating class, we need a commitment of at least 12 boats by May 29th, 2026. This gives us time to finalize race circles, staffing, and logistics.
The Notice of Race and Yacht Scoring registration will be available very soon, I’ll send those your way as soon as they’re live.
The Newport Regatta has always been about bringing the sailing community together for great racing and even better camaraderie. It was great having you last year, and we’d love to do it again in 2026.
