This proposal will simplify the measurement without any rule change.
I suggest to change the text to:
Perpendicular to the upper front edge of the daggerboard with the top of the limit mark measured from the bottom of the daggerboard located at no less than 615mm plus the distance from the top forward of the daggerboard case to the top of the deck at the centerline of the boat.
• Painted in a contrasting color on both sides.
• 25 mm high
• No less than 350mm long extending from the front of the daggerboard. "

Be aware that this rule can be applied only to boats built from 2001! Older boats doesn’t always have the daggerboard case parallel to the base line! This must be added to the rule proposal. Older boats should be measured using the old rule.
