Dear Snipe Sailors,
With 2022 regattas complete, we are already setting our Snipe goals for 2023. Carol’s include starting better and sailing more (which won’t be hard, after only four regattas in 2022). Pietro hopes to visit new sailing venues and meet old and new friends.
What about you—any plans to attend a different regatta or qualify for an international championship? Registering early will help organizers—and might also inspire others to attend as well, increasing both the Serious Sailing AND Serious Fun.
Almost a year ago, we announced the launch of the combined website at snipe.org. We hope you’ve found the transition smooth, and we continue to encourage you to send regatta reports and ideas and photos. The site will only continue to be both fresh and truly international if you share your experiences.
One of the best aspects of Snipe sailing is that it offers strong competition at any level; from local fleets to world championships. As we head into 2023, we are both looking forward to making new friendships at regattas while also continuing to share laughter and racing tips with our old friends.
