Dear Snipe Sailors and Snipe Enthusiasts,

Today we are celebrating fourteen years of SnipeToday. Over the years, more than 300 authors have contributed over 8,600 articles to “A Site for All Snipe Sailors.” Thank you for being part of this incredible journey!

Your Editor took a brief hiatus from November 2024 to May 2025, during which time I was writing over at SnipeTonight. Since that period concluded, we have been back at work “full hiking” on SnipeToday. For those who missed any updates during those months, you’ll be pleased to know that much of the material originally published on SnipeTonight has now been republished here.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Commodore Martin Bermúdez de la Puente and the entire SCIRA Board for the trust they continue to place in us. And a huge thank you to everyone who has followed us and will continue to follow us. Our imperative remains, as always: to promote and improve the Snipe Class.

2025 Year in Review

Here are the statistics that defined our class this year:

  • 289 regattas covered
  • 600 articles published
  • More than 7,700 followers on Facebook and 5,000 on Instagram.

(You can also follow our updates on X/Twitter and YouTube!)

Keeping up with news from around the Snipe world is a lot of work, but it is the best way we know to share our experiences and remind ourselves how well “Serious Sailing, Serious Fun” unites us. No matter where in the world we live, Snipe sailors can always find friends and a reason to laugh together just by showing up at a regatta.

We also encourage you to send us constructive criticism on any topic. Our goal is to promote the Snipe Class both locally and internationally!

We look forward to seeing you on the SnipeToday website and our social media platforms throughout the coming year.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from your editors, and see you on the water in 2026!

The Editor

Pietro Fantoni
