Snipe Team Ditches Diesel for Pedal Power!

Italy, April 1, 2026. As the conflict in Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz send fuel prices skyrocketing, one resourceful Snipe team has found a way to beat the pump.

Yesterday, local sailors successfully tested the first Tandem-Towed Snipe. With gas prices becoming more expensive than the sails themselves, the Skipper and Crew have replaced their SUV with a bicycle built for two.

“If we can hike in a gale, we can pedal to the regatta,” the team stated while hitching their trailer to a carbon-fiber tandem.
