“Frugolino” was built in Luino, Lake Maggiore, by Lino Favini in 1964, taking inspiration from a Snipe designed and built by Danilo D’Isiot.

Flavio Favini (Olympic sailor, Admiral’s Cup winner, Melges 24 World Champion and more) has started his sailing career on this boat, sailing with his father Lino when he was a kid.

Then, 10 years ago, Flavio restored this wooden boat and now he has fun sailing Frugolino on his home waters in Luino.

Italian sailing magazine Giornale della Vela published a nice story about Flavio and Frugolino.
