Eight Bells: Gino Costantini
Gino Costantini from Muggia passed away yesterday.

Gino Costantini from Muggia passed away yesterday.
He was an appreciated Italian Race Officer, often Principal Race Officer in many Snipe regattas, SCIRA measurer, and in recent times Jury member or Chair of the Protest Committee.
For a long time he also raced Snipe together with his beloved wife Silva Rondi, for the Circolo della Vela Muggia, winning an Italian Master Nationals in the Master division in 2004 and Grand master in 2008.
A person known for his kindness, availability and experience, Gino will be missed by many friends, especially in Muggia and Trieste, in his Fleet, but also by all the Snipe sailors who were lucky to meet him.

Gino has been a great friend of the snipe class as a racer, measurer, race officer and judge at many, many events. He taught us how with kindness one can enforce the rules and that extreme fairness in behavior always pays off. He will be greatly missed.
