Georgia State Championship

Lake Park, GA, USA, March 16, 2025. What a weekend! The 2025 Georgia State Snipe Championship was one for the books. Members worked hard to have the VYC repaired after severe damage from Hurricane Helene in time to welcome the sailors.

Due to impending severe weather, five races were completed on Saturday, March 15. Eight boats started, 2 turtled, 1 had to leave the races due to a broken shroud, and the remaining five boats fought strong winds to complete the races.

Thank you to all who participated in the races, helped serve meals, and move boats. A special thanks to the rescue squadron who helped right the two turtled boats as well as help one crew repair the mast while on the water.
