After the great effort and work for the Junior and Open Worlds, the Circolo della Vela Talamone again hosted the Snipe Class with the classic Winter Trophy, now in its sixth edition.

Snipe Bay gave a gift of three days of interesting races with wind predominantly from the east and southeast.

The victory went to a new entry in the class, the team formed by Francesco Scarselli and Enrico Fonda. Francesco and Enrico, who chartered a new boat for this regatta and the whole of next season, showed good speed and good strategy, especially when the wind was unstable.

Second place went to Carlo De Paoli with Alice Anderboni, who sailed beautifully and fought until the end for the trophy, racing with much intelligence and shrewdness and never making extreme choices.

Pietro Fantoni, with the young and talented Rochelli Ilaria, managed to win the race with more wind, while he suffered surprisingly in light winds.

Fourth place finishers Filippo Perdisa and Marco Rinaldi also won a race. Fifth were Andrea and Alberto Schiaffino.

The prize giving took place in the beautiful Clubhouse, which overlooks Snipe Bay. There could be no better way for the Snipe sailors to close this long and memorable season. After the ceremony, before saying goodbye, many of those present threw one last nostalgic look through the window of the club that overlooks the Bay, remembering in September when the waters were crowded with Snipes fighting for the best place on the starting line, or making intricate mark roundings, or enjoying breathtaking surfing with the southwest wind… it was all just a few months ago.
