Biscayne Bay was grey and choppy for day four of racing at the 2024 Snipe Junior World Championship – and while the sky wasn’t clear today, the podium is starting to be illuminated!

The US team of Justin & Mitchell Callahan remain on top, having all but clinched the regatta before the final race tomorrow. With 24 points overall, all they have to do is sail race nine with no DNEs, and they will be crowned the 2024 Snipe Junior World Champions.

After race 7, competitors were able to drop their worst score of the series, shaking up the rest of the standings. Americans Liam O’Keefe and Noah Zittrer jumped up the leaderboard to second place. Spaniards Carlos Bermudez de Castro Castro and Cesar Herrero Baspino remain in the top three, having moved to third overall, seven points out of second.

The American team of Peter Foley and Henry Tindall are sitting right outside the podium, four points away from third. The last race of the championship starts tomorrow at 12:00pm EST. After four days of racing it’s all or nothing!
