Fleet Sistiana and Fleet Monfalcone Party

In the northernmost part of the Adriatic Sea there are two Fleets: Fleet 474 Sistiana and Fleet 264 Monfalcone.

Yesterday we had the traditional Christmas greetings party at the club Triestina della Vela.

The Fleet Sistiana’s Captain Michela Furlan organized this nice event. The 2024 Italian National Secretary Stefano Longhi (who is also Sistiana fleet’s member) presented the Becccaccino d’Oro Trophy, awarded to Sistiana for the best Italian fleet of the year. Gioele Toffolo (with Stefano) received the applause for winning the Coppa Duca di Genova (Italian ranking)

Guests of honor were Augie Diaz and Ernesto Rodriguez (from Fleet 007 Miami) who shared their experience, explaining the strategies for promoting their fleet, how to attract juniors and under 30 teams, how to organize training and regattas and how to improve the level of sailors. At the end, we had interesting exchanges of ideas and comments between Augie and Ernesto and the members of the two fleets of the Gulf of Trieste.
