Eight Bells: Daniel Santana

A sad news from Portugal. Today, our great friend Daniel Santana set sail for his last regatta at the age of 84.
From a very young age, he fell in love with the sea and was connected to it throughout his life. His passion for sailing swept him away from an early age, and, except for a few periods, he never stopped sailing.
Daniel had an extraordinary sense of humour and an inexplicable zest for life. He had a unique culture and life experience.
A person with an incredible good disposition that was contagious wherever he went. With an extraordinary resilience, he never gave up on his great passion. A true Master of Sailing!
May favorable winds accompany you in the eternal regatta.
He will be greatly missed…
