All Japan Intercollegiate Championship – Day 2
Enoshima, Japan, November 1, 2025
Enoshima, Japan, November 1, 2025. The second day, November 2nd, was a beautiful clear autumn day, and being the first day of the three-day weekend, many yacht club officials and general sailors visited. A refreshing blue sky spread out, offering a view of the beautiful Mt. Fuji, but there was no wind. The day started with an onshore standby of about two hours. People spent the time as they wished, checking their boats, chatting with teammates, and so on.
They launched the boats at 11 o’clock, but were faced with another three hours of waiting on the water. Finally, the wind arrived from the southwest and the race began.
The Snipe class started, but a major shift in wind direction led to a “no race” decision. The Snipe class standings remained unchanged from the first day.
The All Japan Intercollegiate Yacht Championships (All Japan Intercollegiate) has quickly reached its halfway point. The second day was not blessed with wind, making the third day the last chance to complete races for the entire day. We can only hope that as many races as possible will be held.
