The Snipe Class has a distinguished history of which very few other sailing classes can boast. This history is defined by the people who have shaped it—sailors, champions, enthusiasts, promoters, sailmakers, builders, and organizers—whose collective efforts have sustained and advanced the Class over generations.
The past is inseparably linked to the present. Through the dedication of these individuals, the Snipe Class has grown and flourished across many countries and continents. Many remain actively involved today, while others, during their lifetimes, contributed to the strong foundation upon which we continue to build. Together, they form what we proudly call the Snipe Family, spanning generations from great-grandparents to grandchildren. In the Snipe Class, tradition and continuity are deeply united.
