2017 Snipe Halloween “Superhero” Regatta: You’re Invited

Atlanta Yacht Club, October 27^th-29^th

For 63 years Snipe sailors and their families have gathered at the Atlanta Yacht Club on the beautiful shores of Lake Altoona in late October to celebrate the fall sailing season.  The traditional weekend offers great food, competitive lake sailing and wonderful fun for the entire family.  The event is one of the largest weekend Snipe regattas in the USA.

Please join us for the Friday night chili dinner, children’s party and trick-or treat and the ever popular Saturday evening costume party.  Snipe Superhero SNIPE MON invites you to create your personal Superhero for the weekend.

SCHEDULE:

Friday:   Registration, chili dinner, children’s costume party and trick-or-treat and live music provided by Tut Campbell, Russell Plunkett and friends (bring your instrument to join in)

Saturday morning: Registration, junior regatta (junior skipper with adult crew permitted)

Saturday afternoon: Lunch followed by races for all competitors, two fleets Spooks and Goblins

After Saturday Races:  hot buttered rum

Saturday evening:  Dinner, dancing and costume party featuring a “Superhero” theme

Sunday morning:  Snipe races followed by lunch and awards.
