Severn Sailing Association is excited to host the 2016 Snipe North American Championships in Annapolis, MD. Home of Snipe Fleet 532, SSA is dedicated to small-boat one design racing and has a long history of hosting regional, national, and international championships. This event is being run on top of the annual Snipe Colonial Cup regatta which attracts ~30 snipe teams each year. We have heard from many teams across the country and the continent that are interested in sailing with us in this year’s event. We expect a great turnout and one of the largest gatherings of snipe sailors in recent history.

Spring sailing on the Chesapeake Bay can be some of the finest sailing to be had. The capital city of Maryland, the historic seaport of Annapolis is the self-proclaimed “Sailing Capital” of the world and is thoroughly a sailors town and a great destination on it’s own. Come out and join us in some “Serious Sailing, Serious Fun.”

Stick around and attend the Atlantic Coast Championship June 11-12 in nearby Surf City to extend your sailing fun. 2 great regatta for the price of 1 vacation from work!

SSA will be hosting the US Junior National Championships following ACCs on June 18-19. Please consider staying for these events. Charter boats will be needed to enable junior sailors to sail in the event. A clinic will be hosted and regatta insurance will be arranged if you are willing to help support growing the class through this event. SSA will arrange for storage of boats between events if you would like to attend both or would be willing to make your boat available to charter to a junior team for Nationals.
