Snipe Worlds – Day 3

Mahon, Spain, September 24, 2026. “Today’s forecast showed a potential wind window from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM,” explained Antonio Bari, Technical Committee Chair, “so the Race Committee displayed the AP flag around 11:00 AM and kept the crews waiting ashore. When the AP flag was lowered, a bit of wind built up, so the crews headed out to sea, essentially sailing. However, the race area chosen for today was Course Bravo because, theoretically, it should have had more wind.”

The wind reached 5 to 6 knots, but unfortunately, it was not steady and suffered significant drops.

The Race Committee attempted a start, but it was canceled due to a wind shift, and the AP flag was displayed again.

After that, there was no longer any opportunity to give further starts, so the day ended with AP over A and no races.

For tomorrow, since several forecast models agree on better conditions, the intention is to sail three races.
