1996 District 4 Championship

DISTRICT 4 CHAMPIONSHIP
June 15 & 16, 1996

NOTICE OF REGATTA

All current District 4 Snipe sailors are invited to participate in our
1996 District Championship Regatta which will be held at the Atlanta
Yacht Club in Acworth, GA.  This is a scheduled 5 race regatta with
prizes for the top 5 crews and top master.  A master is defined as an
individual who has reached his/her 45th birthday by June 15, 1996,
This regatta will be proceeded with separate Junior District
Championship Regatta Saturday morning.  A junior; is defined as an
individual who has not reached his/her 20th birthday as of December
31, 1996.  Special juniors may sail with a senior crew, however, the
top all junior crew will receive the Hook Trophy.  Prizes will be
given to the top 3 crews.  All juniors will start together.

To reach AYC take Exit 120 (GA 92) off Interstate 75 which is
approximately 18 miles north of Interstate 285.  Head east 1.3 miles
and turn left onto Kellog Creek Road.  Go 1.2 miles and turn left at
Yacht Club Road.  An AYC sign will mark the intersection.  AYC is
located 1.2 miles ahead.  You will be greeted by a gate and a card
entry reader, however if you stick your grill under the gate, magic
will happen and the gate will open.

Camping on yacht club grounds is permitted, but no motor homes or
pets.  Four motels are located at Exit 120.  We suggest the Ramada
Limited at 164 Northpoint Parkway in Acworth.

Only skippers who have paid their 1996 SCIRA and D4 dues will be
permitted to sail.  1996 SCIRA decals will be required.  There will be
no registration fee to participate in the Junior Championship Regatta.

Make checks payable to SCIRA District 4 and return registration and
pre-measurement forms to John Muhlhausen, 1146 Green Street, Roswell,
GA 30075 by Monday, June 10 to avoid a late registration fee.  Call
