5- RULES:
THE ISAF RRS (1997-2000) , the SCIRA RULES , this NOTICE of RACE and the
Sailing Instructions will be applied.
6- ADVERTISING:
This regatta is classified as a Category "A" event per RRS
Appendix G3 as
specifically modified by the S.C.I.R.A. Event Sponsorship Policy.
7- RACE SCHEDULE:
Sunday 8 : 13:30 hs. : Preparatory Race
Monday 9 : 13:30 hs.: 1st Race
Tuesday 10: 13.30 hs.: 2nd and 3rd Races
Thursday 12: 13.30 hs. : 4th and 5th Races
Friday 13: 13:30 hs. : 6th Race and the ones not started
Saturday 14: 13.30 hs. 7th Race and the ones not started
8- LANGUAGE:
The official language for the Regata will be English.
9- SCORING SYSTEM:
All races will be scored in accordance with the "LOW POINT" of SCIRA.
10- COURSES:
The courses to be sailed are the Class approved courses for Championship
regattas as published in the current S.C.I.R.A. Official Handbook and
detailed in the Sailing Instructions.
11- PENALTIES:
RRS 44.2 (720 Degrees Turns Penalty) will be applied.
12- PRIZES:
MASTER JUNIORS: (Skipper up to 55 years old)
Places 1 through 3
MASTER : (Skipper up to 65 years old)
Place 1 through 3
MASTER MASTER : (Skipper older than 65 years old)
Place 1 through 3
GENERAL: One every 10 teams
13- ENTRY:
- Entry fee is U$S 500 per team
- Entry also includes the 4 daily meals and lodging for the crews
- Complete and return the entry form before January 15 , 1998.
14-MEMBERSHIP AND AGE:
Each competitor (skipper and crew) racing in the regatta shall be a
S.C.I.R.A. member in good standing. Skipper must be at least 45 years
old - the combined age of skipper and crew must be at least 80 years of age.
15- MEASUREMENTS:
Each competing teams is required to present a Certificate of Measure ment.
Each competing boat will be weighed and all sails (up to 2 sets of sails per
boat are permitted) will be measured at designated date and time.
Charter boats will be checked by the Organizing Committee.
16- CONSTITUTION OF REGATTA:
REGATTA is valued with 3 completed races , with 4 or 5 there won´t be
any put aside. With 6 or 7 complete races there will be only one discarded.
17- JURY:
It will be formed by international jury.
18- SAILING INSTRUCTIONS:
Will be distributed at the registration.
19- CHARTER BOATS:
- 30 full equipped boats (without sails) will be available to entrants for
charter. The charter boats will be covered by damage.
- The charter boats will be available from March 05 through March 14,1998
with charter charge of U$S 700 and damage deposit de U$S 200 per
boat.The damage deposit will be refunded when the boat is returned with no damage.
- Charter boats built by : PRIMEX ,PERSSON, SKIPPER and other.
They are new or maybe no more than 8 years old and well kept
- When the charter request exceeds the number of available boats , users
will be decided by chance. However, foreing competitors will be
alloted a boat without being subjet of this requirement.
- Assignins the charter boats to users will be made by chance at the
registration.
- Any damage to a charter boat or lost parts of it will be user´s
responsability. Sanding hull or rudder is strictly prohibited. Making holes and
attaching parts perpetually in a boat are also prohibited.
- Life jackets and sails should be prepared by competitors.
- Foreign competitors who wish to charter a boat should indicate so in the
attached entry form. Charter charge and damage deposit should be transferred
together with entry fee to the designated bank account.
- For renting boats , foreing competitors , not belonging to South
America will be preferred.
20 - ACCOMODATION - MEALS:
- Accomodation (March 07 check-in and March 14 check-out ; 8 nights)
free of charge for foreign competitors.
- Meals indicated in the schedule are prepared free of charge for all
competitors.
- Competitors will be lodged either in double or triple rooms.
- In case of coming with people who are not competitors, please indicate
how the group is formed for a better organization.
- People who are n o competitors will have a charge of:
$ 25 each person a day in a double or a triple room.
$ 45 " " " " " " single room.
Charges will include continental breakfast.
- No competitors will have to pay for the meals..
- The previous days to March 7th, and after March 14th, will have a charge
for bed and breakfast a day :
Single Room: $ 45
Double " : $ 50

be provided.
The ARGENTINA SNIPES ASOCIATION and the CLUB NAUTICO CORDOBA ,has the
pleasure to invite the SCIRA MASTER MEMBER to participate in the VIII
MASTER WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.
We have sent information about the Master World to the National Secretary
of each member country , finalized Notice of the Race and Entry Form sheet
are scheduled to be sent to the National Secretaries in October. If you are
interested in participating in a Regatta , please fill out the fax form on
the back of this information sheet and return it to us as soon as possible
to our fax number. We wil send you MASTER WORLD information up to the
present. we would appreciate it very much if you could give us personal
information , such as your brief sailing and personal history.

Insurance boat. Racing boats will be provided to overseas entrants.
